Newer solar collectors are already equipped with coils for the installation of an immersion temperature sensor. Make sure that the sensor is all the way in the sleeve and that a rubber gasket is threaded on the outside or a silicone putty is used. Always insert the sensor into the outlet or rear manifold of the manifold field. When the sensor has to be installed in the pipeline, this is done by installing a T-piece at the collector outlet connection and using a dedicated immersion sleeve for TH2 solar collectors. This ensures that the immersion sensor can be installed deep enough into the collector body to ensure that the solar system control is working correctly.
The sensor shall be mounted in a built-in coil or mounting rail so that the sensor is positioned at a height between ¼ and ½ the height of the associated heat exchanger.
