Heat pumps for renovations
are suitable for energy renovation in an older building
The energy renovation of a building not only involves replacing the heating system, but also reducing the annual energy consumption for an optimal result. Highly energy-inefficient houses can consume up to 250 kWh per m2 heating area, while energy-saving houses have less than 100 - a significant difference in heating costs. The first step in energy renovation is therefore to reduce energy consumption, which can be achieved through improved insulation and the installation of energy-saving windows and doors.
Choosing a heat pump
Even for older buildings, a heat pump is a very suitable heating source. The choice depends on the thermal needs of the building and the type and sizing of the heating elements. For average and energy-efficient houses with underfloor heating, well dimensioned radiators or a combination of the two, it will be sufficient Low temperature pump.
New
Universal low temperature heat pump
The pump has a heating water outlet temperature of up to 65 °C, which is high enough to safely and economically heat older buildings previously heated with one of the fossil fuels. For more energy-intensive buildings, we can opt for high temperature pump. Care must be taken not to overheat the heating water outlet temperature, as every degree overheating reduces the efficiency by 2-3 %. If you want an economical combination of two heating sources, you can opt for hybrid , which includes a condensing gas boiler in addition to the pump.

Is it necessary when heating with a heat pump?
Properly sized, it will optimally heat the space under average operating conditions. In extreme conditions, such as very low outside temperatures, the heat pump will be assisted by an electric heater or other supplementary heating source. Read more in our article on an additional source of heating?
