Slovenia is one of the most forested countries in Europe, so it is not surprising that wood biomass, in the form of firewood, wood chips and wood pellets, is the most popular source of renewable energy in Slovenia. However, we are not using this energy source as much as we could.
The first and foremost advantage of biomass heating is its availability. Many Slovenians have their own forest or someone who owns a forest and sells or gives them firewood at a lower price. Another advantage is the affordability and partial autonomy in terms of heating.

Boiler control
The boiler is equipped with a specially developed SELTRON BXD controller. The controller controls the operation of the boiler with a lambda probe, provides return flow protection, boiler overheating protection, fast filling of the heat storage tank and modulating fan speed control.

Boiler chamber
The UKP SMART log boiler and the entire loading chamber are lined with stainless steel panels that are resistant to high temperatures and corrosion. The panels in the chamber not only improve the performance of the boiler, but also make the maintenance and cleaning of the boiler itself extremely simple and extend its lifetime. The panels can be removed and replaced with new ones.

Double doors
The double boiler doors offer significantly better thermal insulation of the boiler, which increases the efficiency of operation while reducing unwanted overheating of the boiler room.

Flue gas extraction
The boiler has an intake fan above the door and an opening that allows the flue gases to be extracted when the boiler door is open. This prevents flue gases and odours from escaping into the room.

Flue gas heat exchanger cleaning handle
Depending on the position of the boiler in the room, the cleaning handle can be placed on the left or right side of the boiler. The handle allows easy cleaning of the flue gas heat exchanger without the need to open the door. This avoids possible soiling of the tools or the room.

Modular annealing chamber
For good combustion of wood gas, a temperature of up to 1,100 °C is required. For this purpose, a special modular multi-layered glow chamber has been developed, which allows for long-lasting use and easy maintenance.

Easy cleaning
The UKP SMART log boiler produces minimal ash as a by-product of wood combustion thanks to its extremely efficient combustion. The design of the UKP SMART boiler allows easy cleaning from the front, which is more convenient and requires less space. The BXD controller allows the soot extraction fan to be switched on, preventing smoke and soot from building up in the boiler room during cleaning.
