The Daikin Altherma M HW is a completely new type of water heater with heat pump and hot water tank, suitable for small residential buildings.
It is a smart domestic water heating solution that uses electricity, air and, if necessary, solar thermal and photovoltaic energy without the use of traditional fuels. Efficiency, an environmentally friendly approach, flexibility and a new look are the characteristic features of the Daikin Altherma M HW that distinguish it from conventional electric water heaters.
Altherma M HW Capacities
Daikin Altherma M HW is heat pump air-to-water hot water for domestic hot water, stored in an enamelled steel tank, with the condenser having an outer jacket to ensure superior safety and hygiene.
- Maximum temperature 62 °C from renewable energy sources with heat pump or heating element only (up to 75 °C).
- Programmable digital interface with touch keys.
- Integration with solar thermal (LT-S model) or heating element (up to 75 °C) on all models.

When austerity is necessary
The Daikin Altherma M HW makes the most of all the features and technology of air-to-water heat pumps for domestic hot water production. Only 25 % of the energy demand in the system is electricity.
Installation
Daikin Altherma M HW can be installed in any room, including unheated spaces such as garages and laundry rooms, and requires no special work other than holes for the supply and extract air pipes.

OPERATING MODES
Operation in heat pump mode only
Daikin Altherma M HW operates only in heat pump mode. The auxiliary heater is only switched on as support if the outside temperature is outside the operating range (setpoint 62 °C).
Renewable energy as a priority option
Daikin Altherma M HW operates in heat pump mode by default. The auxiliary heater is only switched on as support if the temperature rise in the tank is too slow (>4 °C/30 min) or the outside temperature is outside the operating range (setpoint 62 °C).
Combined use of renewable and electricity
The Daikin Altherma M HW works both as a heat pump and with an additional heater. The setpoint can be up to 75 °C.
Electricity only
Daikin Altherma M HW works only with an additional heater. The setpoint can be up to 75 °C.
Air recirculation only
Daikin Altherma M HW operates in ventilation mode only. The heat pump and the booster heater are switched off.
